Departure from the Sevan Devant car park, accessible from the Chapelle d'Abondance. Follow the signs for Lac d'Arvouin via Chez les Thoules, then Le Rys and Bonnatrait. Cars can be parked at the side of the road (this is the end of the tarmac section).
(S/E) Continue along the road, east-northeast. Two mountain tracks appear immediately: take the one on the right, which descends towards Couty and Douert. Pass under the Braitaz chairlift line and arrive at a fork.
(1) Leave the track and follow the path on the left towards the Alpage de Douert.
(2) Ignore the path on your left and continue south to rejoin the track you left earlier.
(3) Follow it to the left for about 400 m.
(4) When the track turns left towards Couty, follow a path on the right towards Chalets de Douert. Descend through the forest to the chalets.
(5) Continue south towards Col de Saix and Barbossine dessous. Pass a large chalet on your left and climb up to Col de Saix.
(6) Then turn sharply left onto the path and descend towards Barbossine dessous. Ignore two paths on the left and leave the Flammet chalets on your right.
(7) Just before Barbossine dessous (signposts), turn sharply left. Climb almost straight up the slope towards Chalets du Mouët. Ignore all the paths that branch off to the right and continue on the main path until you reach Chalets du Mouët.
(8) Take thefirst path on the right (north-east), cross the group of chalets and, at a fork, take the path on the left that leads towards Sevan in front of you. Cross north-west, staying directly below the peaks on the right.
(9) At an altitude of 1,773 metres, ignore the path that descends to your left and continue north. You will come out onto an alpine track.
(10) Follow it to the left. Further on, pass under the Braitaz chairlift line and reach the car park (S/E).
