Loop of Saint-Étienne-de-Boulogne and Boulogne Castle
This is a lovely route that takes you from the village of Saint-Michel-de-Boulogne to Saint-Étienne-de-Boulogne via the fortified castle of Boulogne. The ruins, listed as a Historic Monument, date from the 11th century.
the Verrerie peat bog
This lovely loop allows us to discover a section of the watershed on the heights of Burzet, at an altitude of 1,300 metres, which is very pleasant in summer when the valley is stifling. Along the way, we will discover a peat bog with the ruins of an old glassworks and the remains of a Strombolian crater.
The Montagne d'Uzege
Starting from the village of Saint-Brès, a lovely walk through the heath between Gard and Ardèche with stunning views from the orientation table at the Chapel of Saint-Privat. The direction indicated is the easiest; this avoids a fairly steep climb to reach the chapel. Do not attempt in very hot weather. You can visit the village of Saint-Sauveur and its church, as well as the village of Saint-Brès, on the way back.
