Semi-urban walk along the Ill, between allotments, forests and former gravel pits.

A beautiful hike through forests and valleys, ideal for warm weather but also in mixed or stormy conditions, as there are several options to shorten the route in case of bad weather. Haberts (shepherds’ and herdsmen’s huts), stunning scenery, a pass and several viewpoints overlooking the Grande Chartreuse Monastery. There is a short stretch of tarmac at the end, which is unavoidable but very quiet with few cars.

The route takes you through a beautiful forest with a variety of tree species and alpine pastures. On a clear day, there are beautiful views of the Bernese Alps from the summit of Grand Ventron and Tête du Chat Sauvage.Ideal route in hot weather... but also in mixed weather as the trees provide some protection from the rain.

Why is it called the Alsatian Colorado... when it's just across the border in Germany? Our German neighbours call it the Altschlossfelsen or "Old Castle Cliffs". In any case, this easy horse ride between France and Germany, with no major difficulties or steep slopes, allows you to discover this beautiful pink sandstone rock formation, hidden among the vegetation.A short, easy hike, ideal for families with children who enjoy walking.

This easy walk through the vineyards also allows you to discover pretty villages on the Alsace Wine Route and the fortified church of Hunawihr. Suitable in all seasons. In early spring, you can enjoy the almond trees in bloom. In autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful colours of the season.
