Fabas Forest and Saint-André Lake
This is a very pleasant, uncrowded walk that is suitable for everyone. On the way there, you will pass through the beautiful Fabas Forest and on the way back, you will walk along the Lac de Saint-André, which is well worth a look
Port de Vénasque - Port de la Picade - Pas de l'Escalette loop
This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hikes in the Pyrenees. The climb is long and difficult, but the panoramic views will make you forget your aching legs. Once past the azure blue Boums du Port, the Port de Venasque fault offers the most beautiful balcony overlooking the Maladeta and its lord, the Aneto. The Port de la Picade with its superb panoramic views, the Pas de l'Escalette and the Crabidès ridge complete this unforgettable hike.
The Campsaure plateau from the Hospice de France
This hike is not particularly difficult, apart from a slightly steep climb during the first kilometre, and offers superb views of the Luchonnais mountain pastures (sheep, cows, horses), the climb to Vénasque and the Crête de la Pique.
Belvédère du Mont Né via the Crête de la Pale
Belvédère du Mont Né (Mont Né viewpoint) is a fitting name for this mountain, as the views you will discover throughout this hike are breathtaking. In good weather, this route does not present any major difficulties. What's more, you will start from Port de Balès, a famous stage of the Tour de France.
Crête de Cournudère or Cornudère or Cap des Teches
Arbas, land of bears, paragliders and beautiful hikes! The hike I suggest follows a ridge trail and offers beautiful views of the Comminges to the north and the high peaks of the Pyrenees to the south, all without much difficulty.
The Chemin des Palombières at Saint-Pé-d'Ardet
This hike, which has no major difficulties, will be great fun to do in autumn in the midst of an explosion of colour. You'll discover superb beech forests, impressive pidgeon hunting huts, a beautiful view of the Pic du Cagire, the Garonne valley and the first Pyrenean peaks dominating the Barousse.
Lac Vert loop via the Coume hut
This is a beautiful hike during which you will discover stunning waterfalls, a beautiful view of the Luchonnais region and, the highlight of the show, the green waters of the lake of the same name. However, due to its elevation, length and a few tricky sections, this route requires a good level of fitness.
Cier-de-Rivière - Loop via the Couret and Lauach passes
This hike in the Haut Comminges is pleasant, with little elevation gain, no difficulty and well marked. Most of the route is in the woods, so it is particularly recommended in summer or autumn. In addition, if you want to take a break, there is a picnic table at the Col de Lauach.
The Chemin des Diligences in Monléon-Magnoac
During this easy hike, you will discover the small village of Monléon-Magnoac, panoramic views of the Magnoac hillsides and the Pyrenees, the Marian shrine of Notre-Dame de Garaison, a famous school, and beautiful pine forests, all on a hilly and well-marked trail.
On the heights of Aspet
This hike starts at the unusual Miègecoste Chapel, follows a discovery trail with the ruins of a watchtower, and continues on a large loop around the heights of Aspet. It is one of the most beautiful vantage points for admiring the Pic de Cagire, the "lord of Comminges".
Lançon - Gouaux - Grézian loop
This is a beautiful hike, the first part of which takes you through lovely pine forests. You can then admire a superb panorama of the Aure valley on the south side, not to mention the highlight of the show, an incomparable view of the Arbizon.
Large loop of Faget-Abbatial
At the start, you can admire the Cistercian church of Saint-Sauveur and, higher up, the abbey house (private property). The rest of the walk is a classic country hike where you will discover the hillsides of the Gers, the Lauze valley, the unmissable duck farm and, if you are lucky, three little donkeys will come to say hello. This route is very well signposted (yellow).
Lac de l'Oule - Col d'Estoudou - Lac d'Oredon circular
A hike for experienced walkers, but a feast for the eyes: Lake L'Oule, the Col d'Estoudou and its superb panorama of the Néouvielle and the lakes of Oredon and Cap de Long. This is one of the most magical places in the Pyrenees.
You are entering the Néouvielle National Nature Reserve, which is protected by regulations. Please respect them. (see practical information).
Le Mourtis - Tuc de Pan loop
A beautiful hike with no major difficulties, most of which takes place under the trees. At the summit of Tuc de Pan (1,724 m), you will discover an exceptional panorama of the Garonne valley as it enters France, as well as the Maladeta Massif, among other sights.
Saleich loop via Urau and Castelbiague
This easy hike is located on the border of Haute-Garonne and at the gateway to Ariège. You will walk along the foothills of the Pyrenees. Varied landscapes and architectural sites are waiting to be discovered on this interesting walk.
Loop via the Saunères hut from Artigue
This easy hike will allow you to discover Artigue, a charming village in the Luchonnais region, beautiful forests and a superb panorama of Bagnères-de-Luchon surrounded by its 3000m peaks, all on very different paths and trails.
From Superbagnères to Pic du Céciré via the new route
Climbing the 2,404 metres of Céciré is always a great experience, as the view from the summit is breathtaking, but part ofthe GR® 10 route to reach it is very dangerous and prone to accidents. Fortunately, to continue enjoying this classic route, I suggest taking the new, saferGR® 10 route.
The Caesar Trail in Bugard
This is a typical countryside walk for the whole family. Apart from the distance, which is a little long, it is not difficult. However, I recommend doing it on a clear day to fully enjoy the view of the Pyrenees.
In the footsteps of the Romans from Lespugue
It is an easy hike, best done on a sunny autumn day. It will take you to famous historical sites: the Gallo-Roman villa of Montmaurin, Lespugue and its famous Venus, as well as the ruins of its castle. In addition, it is a hilly route with beautiful panoramic views.
