Description

Start : Park at the layby just after the small patch of trees on your left, just after the farm entrance. (Blackcraig Farm). Grid ref. NS 632 073

(S/E) From the layby, follow the road back downhill (North), pass the trees and turn right towards the farm.

(1) Cross over the bridge and head up past the farm on the left-hand side and up the grass trail onto the stone road. Follow this road all the way uphill, ignore the cairns to your left, these were for the old route.

(2) As the ground starts to level off and you come to a gate, turn right and follow the fence uphill. Nearer the top it starts to level off a bit, come away from the fence here and head for the right-hand side of the pond when it appears.
Once passed, head for the fence to your front and climb over the style.

Follow the trail the rest of the way to the summit, Trig point and a few cairns.

(3) From Blackcraig summit, return the same way. (S/E)
