Zwölferhorn round

Starting point of the hiking tour: Mountain station at the Zwölferhorn cable car, at the valley station there is a paid car park and a bus stop.

(S/E) We leave the Zwölferhorn cable car and follow the path straight ahead. We take the first left. The path leads us uphill, we take the 2nd right, then left.

(1) The viewing platform is reached. Continue along the path and keep right at the fork.

(2) From the Seeblick viewpoint we enjoy a great view of Lake Wolfgangsee. We turn round and walk past the viewing platform (1) again. At the fork in the path, we keep left, right is also possible.

(3) We have reached the summit cross on the Zwölferhorn. We turn round and follow a path to the left downhill towards the cable car. We turn left, past a hut and round a left-hand bend.

(4) We pass the Arnika hut and take the next left onto a circular path. There are several viewpoints and information boards along the way. Keep left at the fork in the path. A narrow path turns right and leads us up to the next summit cross.

(5) The summit cross on the Pillsteinhöhe has been reached. We then return to the main path, which we follow to the right. A few viewpoints follow.

(6) We pass a small lake at the Rosshütte. Finally, we return to the Zwölferhorn cable car via the familiar route (S/E).
