Lac dets Coubous, Lac de la Jonquère and Lac de Tracens

Pic de Madaméte circular winter loop
On the outskirts of the Néouvielle Massif, I’ll lead you along my route for a magnificent, challenging winter hike. We’ll ascend via the Aygues Cluses Valley and the Madaméte Lakes, climb Pic de Madaméte, and return via the Coubous Lakes.
The scenery is spectacular, combining a very undulating landscape, forests of mountain pine, a string of snow-covered lakes and the magnificent viewpoint at Pic de Madaméte (which can be avoided if necessary).
I hope I’ve made you want to join me!
Circular loop of the Col and Lac d'Oncet from Super-Barèges
This beautiful winter circular route in the high mountains circles La Bonida and the Pic d’Oncet, taking in the stunning, secluded Aouda Valley and the southern flank of Pène Blanque, at the foot of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre. The views are exceptional and, although the route is used by a few ski tourers, peace and quiet are guaranteed.
From Tournaboup to the Refuge de l’Oule
First day of a three-day circular route. The first section up to the Col de Madamète is quite stony and requires good footwear, but after that it is a real pleasure to walk past the magnificent Néouvielle lakes, which include, amongst others, Lac d’Aumar, Lac d’Aubert and Lac de l’Oule.
From Artigues to Tournaboup
Third day of a three-day circular route. After a restful night in Artigues, we set off having filled our water flasks and packed a picnic for lunch. To round off this circular route on a high note, we take this path between the Col du Tourmalet and the Pic du Midi de Bigorre. A very pleasant walk, with the Pic du Midi towering above us. We head back down towards the Tournaboup car park.
