(S/E) Start from the car park opposite the campsite exit, just below the motorhome refuelling area (the other parking spaces are reserved) and go up the road towards the main entrance to the campsite. Leave the red signposted path that leads back to La Bresse and the entrance to the tree houses on your right. Just past this entrance, take a wide stony path marked with a green triangle that climbs up to Lac des Corbeaux.
(1) As you climb this path (not very pleasant), you will see these unusual structures, some of which are inhabited, in the trees on your right. Follow these signs to the road. Then go down this road to the end of the first hairpin bend, a good hundred metres lower down, to join theGR® 533 (the green triangle signs lead to Lac des Corbeaux via the road).
(2) Take theGR® 533 (green rectangle signpost) again, going up to the left after the bend. It leads to Lac des Corbeaux.
(3) When you reach the lake, after a few metres, take a path on the right: a yellow ring sign is added to theGR® sign. If you are tempted to walk around the lake, allow an extra 20 minutes. This path, which is mostly stony and steep, will take you to the Collet Mansuy.
(4) At Collet Mansuy, take the path furthest to the left towards Roche du Lac (yellow ring signpost) and continue uphill before beginning the descent towards Roche du Lac, which you will be eagerly awaiting but which seems to take forever to arrive.
(5) La Roche du Lac forms a secure viewpoint offering a magnificent view of Lac des Corbeaux. After taking in the view, you can turn around and head back along the path slightly to your left, secured by cables (not essential) and still marked with yellow rings. Further down the descent, the path becomes a wide forest track.
(6) However, there's no time to get bored, as a little over 300 metres further down, you take a small path that descends to the left to return to Lac des Corbeaux.
(7) The trail leads to a small road that you must follow uphill (marked with a blue cross) until the first bend, where you take the trail directly to the left.
(8) This path leads to a forest track, which you should take on the right and follow until you reach the Étang de Sèchemer (green diamond).
(9) At the end of this pond, take the small climb on the left (green triangle) and follow it to your starting point (S/E), ignoring the path that branches off to the right a little further on.
