Leave Europahutte heading north (S) and keep heading in that direction, the path rotates along a track that follows elevation bends slightly uphill and down.
Go around several ridges (1) and thalwegs (2) reaching the small Grathorn summit (3) after a long walk over a rocky track. Go through the forest then a long downhill hike towards Gasenreid (4), end of the hike by foot.
Catch the postal bus to Saint-Niklaus (6), that's it for today.

As indicated in the description, the hike ends at Gasenheid and the bus then takes you to Saint Niklaus. There is a trail linking the two villages but of no real significance, in order to complete the hike within 10 days we chose this option and will carry on so during the next stages.
This trail appears as a straight line on the overall route for simplicity reasons.
In the nearby area
Saint Niklaus, meaning Nicolas is a quaint village approaching Zermatt valley.
