Park at the end of the D 238 road (large car park).
(S/E) Take the right path that climbs towards Dormillouse. After several hairpin bends, you will reach a crossroads.
(1) Leave the first path on the left and continue climbing towards the hamlet of Dormillouse. At a place called Les Chazals, leave the path on the left again to reach a new crossroads a hundred metres further on, before the hamlet.
(2) Turn left towards Lacs de Palluel and Faravel. Ignore the paths starting on the right along the way. Further on, you will reach the crossroads at a place called La Louyère.
(3) Turn right towards Lac de Palluel. You will come to the Palluel hut and continue on an easy climb to reach the lake of the same name.
(4) Cross the lake, which is almost level, to reach the second lake, Faravel.
(5) Descend the fairly steep path. Look for the cairn on a flat section indicating a path to the right.
(6) Leave the path and descend to the bottom of the grassy valley to the Pont de Fer stream.
(7) Cross the stream on a natural bridge, take the path running parallel to the stream, then leave it to reach the third lake, Lake Fangeas. Here, you will find the path connecting Dormillouse to the Col des Terres Blanches.
(8) Take it to the left.
(9) Ignore the path on the right in the forest and head for the crossroads before the hamlet of Dormillouse.
(2) Take the path on the right that leads to the hamlet. Cross the Chichin stream, reach the crossroads
before the stopover lodge and turn right onto the marked path that descends on the right bank. Cross the bridge and return to the car park (S/E).
