Departure from the Tourist Office square.
(S/E) Head towards Freycenet-la-Cuche. Cross the Gerbier des Joncs road, follow the road opposite and cross the Gazeille bridge.
(1) Turn right onto the first carriage road (signposted Rocher TourtePR®205). You will reach a clearing when you arrive at the Mézenc National Forest.
(2) At the crossroads of four paths, take the leftmost path (PR®205).
(3) At the next two three-way junctions, turn left to go around the Rechausseyre rock.
(4) At the crossroads, follow thePR®205/GR®40to the right.
(5) At the intersection, leave theGR®40, turn left and then left again. Follow the edge of the woods (not marked) and then enter the forest.
(6) Cross the forest road and continue straight ahead.
(7) At the three-way junction, turn left to go around Rocher Tourte.
(8) At the forest road junction, turn right and follow the unmarked track (do not take the marked path opposite) and continue around Rocher Tourte.
(9) At elevation 1369, turn right at the intersection (GR®40).
(10) Leave the track at the entrance to the forest and turn left onto the path at the edge of the woods. You will reach an intersection you passed on the way there and the GR®.
(5) Follow the same route as on the way there until you reach the next intersection.
(4). Leave the path on the left and cross the moor to reach the road.
(11) Turn left onto the road and return to the starting point via the asphalt road (S/E).
