Torside reservoir

Start: Crowden Car Park,Peak District A628 (SK13 1HZ). Grid ref. SK 072 992

(S/E) From the car park, cross the A628 road and then directly take left on the footpath. Continue on this footpath until reaching a little tarn and the bridge.

(1) Cross the bridge and continue straight until reaching the B6105 road. Cross it and then directly right on the footpath.

(2) Continue straight on this footpath "Trans Pennine Trail" until reaching the dam/weirs (3Km or so).

(3) Take right to cross Torside reservoir then left at the end of the dam. Then take first left footpath and continue straight following Rhodeswood reservoir until reaching another dam.

(4) Take right and continue until reaching the road. Cross the road and continue straight on the footpath until see a path on your right. Turn right and then keep on this path (ignoring the paths on your right) going up. The path will go above the forest. Keep straight on the path until the quarry and then straight until reaching an intersection of paths.

(5) Take right towards Millstone Rocks and keep straight on the path. Pass Millstone rocks and keep straight on this path until reaching the Pennine Way path.

(6) Take right (South) on Pennine Way path, cross the river and then take left on the path that will pass behind the campsite. After the campsite turn right to find the car park (S/E)
