Head to the Madeleine Chapel, located about 3km north-west of Bédoin. Take the marked path opposite the chapel to find the car park 300m further on.
(S/E) From the car park, retrace your steps along the access road for a few metres and find a path that branches off to the right. Take this yellow (and orange) marked path, which leads to a small ruin and arrives at the Le Paty crossroads.
Take the path that climbs opposite towards Combe de l'Ase. This path climbs into the valley and arrives at the climbing cliffs. Walk along the cliffs on the right and continue to the Combe de l'Ase crossroads (different spelling on the map).
(1) Continue straight ahead towards Combe Obscure. 400m further on at the crossroads, turn right towards Bramafan (theGR® markings disappear at this point). Pass an old woodcutter's hut and arrive at an esplanade, at a fork in the road.
(2) Continue straight ahead on the marked path. At the next crossroads, under the cedar trees, the markings lead to the right onto a small path. Follow the markings and ignore any other paths. Further up, the markings leave the path and turn left onto a path that leads to the D974. Cross the road to reach the Bramafam sign.
(3) Take the path on the right that runs alongside the road, towards Le Sueil. When you reach the Le Sueil crossroads, continue straight ahead towards Chapelle Sainte-Sidoine for a few metres until you reach a fork.
(4) Leave the marked trail and take the path that climbs to the right, marked with a red and white cross. There are no more markings on this track, which climbs through the pine trees and narrows to become a path. When the path comes out onto the D974, in a bend, find the path that climbs to the left a few metres higher up. Continue climbing the path and rejoin the road in another bend.
(5) Cross the road and head right along it downhill. Pass the hut and the Lodge Forestier des Ramayettes, then in the bend, leave the road and follow the path that descends to the left.
Please note that at this point, on the IGN map, the route leaves the road earlier, but on the ground, the markings correspond to the route shown here.
(6) 500m further down, at a junction marked by a cairn, leave the path on the left that descends into the Combe de Malaval and take the path on the right marked with a yellow cross.
From there, there are no longer any real markings, except for some old blue marks that are still visible, but the only path is obvious.
The path goes around the Tête du Gros Charme and descends towards the bottom of the massif via a beautiful path. When the path approaches the bottom, on a fairly steep section, it joins the GR® trail. Leave the path that branches off to the left, turn around, and walk back up the path for about ten metres to find the path that branches off to the left (it was on the right during the descent, but it was invisible).
(7) Turn left onto the path (marked red and white) that branches off to the left into the forest on the mountainside, then runs alongside olive trees.
(8) At the crossroads, turn sharply right onto a path. Follow the markings carefully and pay attention, as some of the paths can be misleading.
Continue along the mountainside and, after several small ascents and descents, the markings will lead you to the Paty crossroads. Turn left and rejoin the path that leads back to the car park (S/E).
