Park in the car park opposite École Michelet.
(S/E) Take Rue Michelet on the left, then Rue Aragon to the roundabout. Take the first street on the right, Rue Pierre Mendès France, and go up it for about 300 metres.
(1) Continue along Rue Pierre Mendès France and go up towards La Buissonnière.
(2) At the four-way intersection, turn right onto Rue Jean de la Fontaine (marked Allée des Bois on the IGN map), continue straight ahead and go up to the farm on the left at the end of the street. Continue along the dirt road opposite and keep going straight ahead. Pass the beehives on the right and continue in the same direction.
(3) At the end of the path, continue straight ahead on Rue des Pins, which is a steep climb. Pass through the Bois des Pins and continue to the intersection at a place called La Voûte.
(4) Turn right and descend. There is a beautiful view of Fontanés on the left and the Pilat massif on the right.
Continue to the intersection with Rue de la Choltière. Take this street on the right and continue to the intersection with Chemin du Belvédère.
(5) Turn right onto this path. Beautiful view of the Pilat massif on a clear day.
Continue to Rue des Alouettes.
(6) Turn left onto Rue des Alouettes for 50 metres, then right onto Rue du Clos Fleury and continue downhill to the junction with Chemin des Eversins. Turn left, then right and continue down Chemin des Eversins. Ignore the streets on your left. At the junction, turn right, heading south, and continue along Chemin des Eversins.
(7) 200 metres further down, at the three-way junction, turn right onto Allée du Château. Continue straight ahead along this lane (you will see Sorbiers Castle on your right) and enter Sorbiers Park. Cross the park until you reach a small path on the right with a clearly visible sign indicating "Pédibus".
(8) Take this path and continue straight ahead into Allée René Cassin. Continue straight ahead on Rue des Creuses until you reach the roundabout.
(9) Turn right onto Rue Joliot Curie, then straight ahead onto Rue Pasteur. At the end of this street, in the bend, take the pedestrian path opposite and go down it to reach Rue Pierre Mendès France.
(1) Turn left onto this street, then turn left again at the roundabout to return to the starting point (S/E).
