Description of the walk

Start: Park at the layby on the side of the road, there is a dedicated space on each side just be careful with traffic.

(S/E) From the layby, walk up the stairs and quickly gain height away from the road. Follow the path, still uphill, to a path junction.

(1) Turn left crossing a stile over the fence. The path takes you between two fences, then to the foot of the monument commemorating the soldiers of the First World War.

(2) Enjoy the view, then return to the path junction.

(1) Turn left, going over another fence using the stile and continue on this path for another hundred meters or so, to enjoy another view. Then retrace your steps back to the path junction.

A nice little walk to stretch your legs. It offers views of Dunedin's surroundings. An ideal stopover on the way back to Dunedin from the Otago Peninsula.
