The Three Bays Trail

(S/E) From the car park near the Rocher du Bonhomme, head right at the top of the beach. A path has been marked out between the rocks. Then, after a bend, the path starts to climb. Follow the yellow markings from there. It’s an easy climb through the woods until you reach the top and a road leading to the viewpoint. Take in the view from the viewpoint overlooking Baie des Tortues and Rocher du Bonhomme. You can also take a round trip to a statue of Our Lady of the Waves.
Head down the small path to reach Baie des Tortues; the descent, which remains within the forest, is equipped with small steps.

(1) Once at the bottom, head to Turtle Beach, then go to the far end of the beach on the right-hand side as you face the ocean and rejoin the path which climbs back up into the forest. You’ll come out onto a track which you follow for a few metres to the left before heading back down a small path on the left towards Lovers’ Bay. This bay is only accessible via this path.

(2) Walk to the beach, then go back a few metres to continue your walk, climbing up again before heading back down towards the small beach.

(3) One last short climb to reach the final viewpoint.

(4) The return journey follows the same route.

Turtle Bay takes its name from the fact that many turtles used to come to lay their eggs on this beach, but due to poaching, only a few now return each year...

Lovers’ Bay is a little more secluded, accessible only via the footpath, making it the ideal spot for couples looking to spend some time together.
