Parking:
- in the car park on the left of the road at the exit of Brison (coming from Aix-les-Bains) => return to the centre of the village and take the first street on the left, then left again towards the retirement home
- or in the car park next to the church => walk down to the first crossroads and turn right towards the nursing home.
(S/E) The trail starts about 100 metres before the nursing home on the right, between a house and a vineyard (markers on the left side of the road).
Follow the path (quite steep from the start) to the fork towards Les Granges de Brison. Here you will find theGR®965.
(1) Take the red and white marked trail to the left towards La Chambotte, reaching the crossroads of the trail leading to Mont Corsuet.
(2) Leave theGR® and turn right. Be careful from this crossroads onwards: markings are rare. At the summit, it is mainly marked by dots and arrows painted in fluorescent yellow. Continue under the ridge of Mont Corsuet to reach Croix de Meyrieu. Continue to the old Meyrieu cross.
(3) Take the path that descends to the right.
(4) At the Ragères crossroads, take the forest path on the right for about 300 metres until you reach the viewpoint (path on the left is not marked).
Retrace your steps back to the crossroads.
(4) Take the path on the right. Descend through the Ragères woods and you will come to another fork leading to Ferme Gigot and Grotte des Fées.
(5) Take the path opposite, marked with a Belvédère pictogram. Continue to the Grotte des Fées. The path leading to the cave starts on the right in a clearing in the vegetation after about 100 metres.
Return to the crossroads.
(5) Take the path on the left (unmarked). Continue downhill to reach another crossroads.
(6) Take the path on the right and continue along it, ignoring any paths branching off to the right or left. Two final hairpin bends lead to the Granges de Brison.
(7) Follow the road towards Brison and return to the car park on the edge of Lac du Bourget (S/E).
