Fascine Trail and Old Ragueneau Quay

More of a stroll than a hike, this short trail is particularly entertaining for children. A place to discover birdlife with a view of numerous small islands. At the right time of year, whales can be seen. The second part at the Old Quay takes you to see dinosaur statues, tributes to the strength and generosity of the pioneers, and the obelisk symbolising volunteerism.

Description of the walk

Access from Route 138 in Ragueneau. At the Quai de Ragueneau sign, take the path at the back right of this "square". The car park, which is the starting point for the walk, is about 150 m away.

(S/E) The walk starts from the path near the playground. Walk to the building, turn right and follow the path that winds through the trees.

(1) At the end of the peninsula, the Saint Lawrence River comes into view. Continue right on the path.

(2) Go around the large statue of the goose and take the path to the left of the quay. Along the way, you will see dinosaur statues on either side of the path.

(3) Once at the foot of the obelisk, continue along the point to observe the river, and maybe even see some whales! Retrace your steps and take the quay path in the opposite direction back to the car park (S/E).
