Park at the top of Rue de l'Abbé Dorna.
(S/E) Take the road towards Rochetaillée and, after 400 m, take the tarmac path on the left.
(1) Ignore the path on the left (which will be your return route) and continue straight on towards Rochetaillée, ignoring the turn-offs on the left. You are now on the Fontaines Aqueduct Trail.
(2) At the information sign, take the path leading uphill to the left, pass under the chapel and join the road. Head down to the right until you reach the main road into the village.
(3) Refresh your water supplies. Head up to the left towards the village for 500 m.
(4) Turn right towards the Gouffre d'Enfer, and walk downhill for 500 m.
(5) Leave the road and take the path on the left.
(6) After a few hundred metres, keep left (to the right is a poorly signposted private track and a house 100 m away). Continue along the lovely path beside the climbing walls.
(7) After the cliff, turn right onto a small path in poor condition and continue downhill. At the junction shortly afterwards, head straight ahead to reach a car park. At the end of the car park, take the small path; there is a beautiful waterfall at the spillway.
(8) Take the path on the left, follow it, climb the steps to the top of the dam and turn left.
(9) Walk along the reservoir and then the Furan.
(10) At the small bridge on the left, continue straight on to the top of the second dam.
(11) Head back down the same way to the small bridge.
(10) Turn right, cross the bridge and, at the other end, turn left and follow the path to the junction by the forest house. Turn right and continue straight on.
(12) At the end of the hairpin bend, turn right and return to the junction you passed on the way out.
(7) Carry straight on.
Turn right as you leave the path, otherwise you will end up at a house.
(5) At the road, do not follow it but cross it to take the path opposite (a little further on, the path is closed to sheep but access is permitted). On the road (D8), turn right.
(3) We are now at the water supply point from earlier. Take the path back on the left. Do not go back under the chapel but continue straight on to the crossroads.
(13) Turn left onto Chemin de la Croix du Perthuis and continue to the multi-way junction.
(14) Turn left and, at the next junction, go straight on.
(15) Turn left. Be careful, the path is barely visible and poorly marked at the start; this is the only tricky part of the route. For your information, you must turn before the high-voltage power line.
(1) Turn right and follow the outbound route back to the starting point (S/E).
