Start: Runnymede National Trust car park by the tearoom, North Lodge, Windsor Road, Old Windsor (SL4 2JL) Grid ref. SU 996 731
(S/E) At the car park, take the path opposite the tearoom between the map board and the paying machine. Continue on this main path until seeing a path on the right indicating John Kennedy Memorial. Turn right and continue toward John Kennedy Memorial. Then take the path slightly on the left of the memorial and continue straight going up until reaching an intersection of paths.
(1) Take left to pass the gate and enter the fields. (Fields can be very muddy and can have livestock.) Continue straight across several fields until reaching a gate. Pass the gate and continue straight on the main path across the wood until reaching an intersection of paths.
(2) Take right and continue straight on the main path until reaching a gate at a road level. The path here can be very muddy.
(3) At the road take right and continue straight until reaching the Air Force memorial.
(4) At the air force memorial retrace your steps back to the path junction at the waypoint (2) by taking left at the road.
(2) Continue straight on the main path until reaching a gate with several paths.
(5) Take left and continue on this main path until you reach back the car park and start. From this path, you will be able to access the Writ in Water monument and the Magna Carta monument. (S/E).
