Start at the Super U car park (Villé industrial estate)
(S/E) From the car park, turn right, passing in front of the Ejot company (Rue du Climont heading west).
At the junction, turn left onto the RD697 towards Neuve-Eglise (Rue de Villé heading south).
In Neuve-Eglise, turn right onto Rue de l’Église (towards Dieffenbach), passing in front of the church.
At the next junction, turn left, then immediately right (junction in front of the L'Embuscade bar) onto Rue de Dieffenbach.
(1) Continue along the RD 697.
(2) Pass through Dieffenbach-Au-Val and then Neubois.
(Beautiful views of the villages opposite and the Saint Gilles hill).
(3) On the descent after Neubois, after a tight S-bend, leave the RD and take the cycle path through the woods towards Hurst / La Vancelle.
On reaching Hurst, turn left onto the RD 137 downhill, then immediately left after the bridge over the River Liepvrette.
(4) You’ll reach the cycle path leading to Val de Villé, with Ortenbourg Castle in sight.
(5) When you reach the roundabout on the Châtenois bypass, stay on the path to the left to take the cycle route under the roundabout, then turn left and follow the farm track below the bypass road.
(6) The path climbs up to the bridge on the RD between Châtenois and Scherwiller; turn left to cross to the other side of the bypass, and at the bottom of the bridge the cycle path first turns right then left (towards Villé). This is followed by a path through the forest (GR®5, marked with a Red Rectangle).
Alternative route: To avoid the mountain bike trail, you can also continue along the RD35 to the next junction with the wayside shrine, then turn left towards the Huhnelmuhle restaurant.
(7) Join the cycle path, also known as the Route du Sel, and head left.
Head towards Saint Pierre Bois (Rue des Romains).
At the Crédit Mutuel junction, continue straight on towards the school and rejoin the cycle path.
(8) Cross the RD424 to follow the cycle path running to the left of the road.
Once in Saint Maurice, head straight across to cross the village towards Triembach.
(9) At Triembach-au-Val, take the roundabout, take the 3rd exit towards the industrial estate (Burkert factory), then turn right to reach the car park (S/E).
