Car park before the bridge over the Saire on the edge of the D26.
Yellow markings
(S/E) Leave the car park, turn left onto the D26, cross the bridge over the Saire and note the waterfall on your left, the wooden bridge (no access) and the Château de la Germonière (private). At the crossroads, turn left to walk alongside the church and cemetery, then turn right onto the first road going uphill (cross) and continue for about 100 metres.
Turn left onto thefirst farm track and follow this wide path. At the crossroads with several meadow entrances blocked by metal gates, turn left onto a well-shaded sunken path. At the next three-way junction with a farm on the left, continue along the path on the right which leads to a small road.
(2) Follow the road to the right towards the hamlet of Famichon. Opposite a house with a red-tiled roof, turn left, descend towards La Saire and continue to the right along the stony path that climbs steadily to the Calvaire de la Pergée (wooden cross).
(3) Turn left to join a small road and look for a memorial on the right commemorating the crash of a Royal Air Force 59th Squadron bomber on 20 September 1940. Follow the small road on the left, which descends steadily towards the south-east.
(4) Look out for a path on the right and leave the road. Follow this path, which descends towards the D120 near Moulin du Gras. At the junction with this road, turn right and follow it to the next crossroads, which is relatively close by. Turn left at Moulin to descend and cross the Saire again via a small bridge, then climb back up to the next crossroads.
(5) Follow the tree-lined farm track to the left. It runs alongside several meadows. Note the pretty pond on the left, which was very popular with the cattle when we passed by, and then reach a road which you follow to the left. Pass the sign for the entrance to Le Vast and arrive at a crossroads (recycling bins).
(6) Turn right onto the small road marked "Fabrication de jouets en bois" (Wooden Toy Manufacturer). Continue to the next crossroads opposite an old lime kiln dated 1870. It is possible to climb to the top of this kiln, which has recently been restored. Turn left onto the beautiful beech-lined avenue that runs alongside the imposing farmhouse of "La Cour du Vast", which can be seen below on the left.
(7) Shortly after the end of the farm, turn right onto the uphill path and then turn left at the first fork. Just before reaching a small road, admire the beautiful garden on the left, laid out around a pond.
No markings (note the yellow cross on a post).
(8) Turn left at the road and follow it downhill towards Hameau Boisnel (statue of the Virgin Mary on the right).
At the junction with the D26, turn left and follow this departmental road carefully to the car park on the left (S/E).
