Description of the walk

Park in the small car park on the right-hand side of the D650, about 2 km past Créance towards Saint-Germain, approximately 200 m north of the bridge over the Ay.

(S/E) Take the path leading off into the countryside to the north-east until you reach a crossroads, about 200 m further on.

(1), turn right and continue to a second crossroads.

(2) Turn left and join the D72.

(3) Follow it to the left until you reach a car park.

(4) Turn left and follow the path straight on until you reach a junction you passed on the way there.

We set off from St Germain-sur-Ay via the GR to extend this short walk. This allowed us to see two different and interesting types of landscape. As for the section through the forest, which is rich in different types of trees, it’s a shame to have to walk alongside the road.
