(S) Prendre le chemin du Tour du Cervin vers l'Est ; au Carrefour(1) , prendre à droite, passer la rivière et la suivre jusqu'au lac ; prendre à gauche en (2) , pour prendre une direction SE.
Monter en fond de vallée vers le lieu-dit Chardoney. En (3) , le sentier oblique vers l'Est.
Le sentier possède des passages à flanc de rochers, assez aériens, avec des cordes fixes pour sécuriser la progression. Attention à bien suivre le sentier dans le pierrier, en s'aidant des cairns(4) . On progresse ainsi jusqu'au col de Valcornière (5) . De là, descendre Direction N (attention, descente technique !) au lieu de prendre tout de suiteplein E. la descente s'oriente alors vers l'Est jusqu'au refuge(E) , juste avant le Lac du Mont Dragon.
Tour du Cervin - Etape 7a : Prarayer - Refuge Perrucco Vuillermoz
Afin de ne pas faire 2 étapes longues d'affilée, nous avons décidé de faire l'étape 7 du Tour du Cervin classique (Refuge Prarayer - Breuil) en 2 jours, en faisant une halte au refuge Perruca Vuillermoz avant de rejoindre la Cabane Gandeg (cf Etape 7b).

This 10-day tour of the Matterhorn is remarkable. It allows you to walk alongside the 4,000-metre peaks of this Alpine range every day. Located in two countries, Italy and Switzerland, it also allows you to familiarise yourself with three European languages: Italian, German and French in the Valais region of Switzerland.
Important note: Two stages of this route take place partly on glaciers. It is highly advisable to bring crampons and a rope for maximum safety. Crampons will make it easier to walk, and the rope can be used to form a rope team to secure the participants.
