Park at the station car park or on Rue des Moulins (café and bakery open Tuesday to Saturday).
(S/E)From the bridge over the Desges, in the centre of Chanteuges, head west to cross the bridge. Turn right onto the departmental road, then immediately left onto Rue de la Gare.
(1) 15 metres before the level crossing, take the track on the left (Chemin de la Pelle, part of the GRP® Robe de Bure and Cotte de Maille – yellow and redmarkings), which follows the railway line. Ignore two paths on the right in succession, which pass under a railway bridge, and continue along the main path, which passes under another railway bridge and reaches a road.
(2) Turn left onto it and cross the bridge. 30 metres after this bridge, join the GR®470 (marked in white and red) coming from the right. Continue along the road, pass under a railway bridge, and reach theLangeac-Sauguesroad in the hamlet of La Cambuse (or Le Charret).
(3) Take it on the left, then 150 metres further on, take the Route de Saint-Arcons et Prades on the right.
(4) 20 metres further on, take the rocky cart track that climbs to the left. This is the Chemin Grand, the old road from Langeac to Saugues until around 1825. Ignore the path branching off to the left before a villa and continue straight on. You’ll come out onto a small road (iron cross on the right) which you should follow straight on, passing through the hamlet of Le Péroux towards the church.
Before a bend in the road to the right, leave the GR® and turn left onto the Calade de la Fontaine, which descends. Follow this paved slanting street to the end and you will reach the bridge over the Desges in the centre of Chanteuges (S/E).
