(S/E) From the water tower, cross the main road onto Priory Lane. Briefly (115m) head North along Priory Lane. Turn left (West) along Blundell lane. Continue along Blundell Lane for 540m.
(1) At the end of the lane, take the footpath left on the East side of the golf club entrance. Pass through the metal gate.
(2) Cross the beck and head left (North-West) before heading North around the electricity sub station.
(3) Head left (West) on the substantial path beside the bank of River Ribble. Continue West along River Ribble river bank for 2.8 Km.
(4) Cross Mill Brook and turn left (South) along the footpath on the West side of it. Follow the path as it bears left (South-East) over a stile.
(5) Cross the stile beside the water through in the South-East corner of the field and head South along the hedgerow. Exit via a gate and continue South towards houses. The path makes its way between the houses to reach Ratten Lane.
(6) Turn left (East) along Ratten Lane.
(7) After 570m or so, take the footpath left (North) off the lane.
(8) Cross Mill Brook and continue North up the slope.
(9) Cross the bridge and follow the path North between hedges to reach a lane where you carry straight on.
(10) At the junction, turn right and follow Howick Cross Lane as it heads East and then turns South.
(11) Take the track left (North) to Old Hall and then the track beside farm buildings. Check the map here as the path can be tricky to find.
(12) Take the path right (East) behind the hall. Cross left onto the North side of the hedge and enter Blashaw Wood via a stile. Take the path on the North side of the clearing. Then, take the gate onto Blashaw Lane. Follow this lane South-East to reach Liverpool Rd.
(13) Turn left heading North-East on Liverpool Rd for around 740m back to the start. (S/E)
