Panorama of the Hohe Winde starting from Beinwil

Main objective: the marvellous 360° panorama at the summit of the Hohe Winde! This route is similar to the one shown on the Club Vosgien Mulhouse-Crêtes website, but the start is directly on the valley road rather than at the Cloître (Kloster). Round trip between points 3 and 5: ascent to the summit of the Hohe Winde, then a gentle descent to the SkiHütte mountain hut at point 5 (and return after a picnic). There is a whole series of benches and tables in very good condition set up around the hut, offering stunning views of the Jura and the Alps (on 3/9/25, these views were magnificent).

Description of the walk

The route was walked in an anti-clockwise direction due to the fairly steep slope in the 1,500-metre area before the point (2). The path is a country track with small, rather slippery stones (easier going uphill than downhill).

At (5), there is a whole series of benches and tables in very good condition around the refuge, offering stunning views of the Jura and the Alps. An ideal spot for a break.

Worth a visit

The panoramic view from the summit (4) is best enjoyed in fine weather. For views towards the south and the Alps, it’s worth walking the 250 m to the Skihütte.
