In Moulins, park in the car park of the Centre National des Costumes de Scène (National Centre for Stage Costumes) for a visit at the start or end of the walk (visit: see Practical Information). The museum is located on the left bank of the Allier, near the Pont Régemortes bridge. To access the car park, follow the signs for "Parking CNCS Espace Villars".
(S/E) Head towards the cows and the Allier, follow the river to the right and climb a few steps to reach the D2009. Take the pavement on the Pont Régemortes bridge to cross the river.
(1) On the other side, go around the roundabout on the left, crossing the D528, go down a few steps on the left of Rue Régemortes and follow the D528, then go down a few more steps. Continue straight ahead on Rue Félix Mathé and turn right onto Rue du Pont Ginguet (one of the oldest streets in the town, an extension of a bridge that no longer exists). Continue straight ahead until you pass the Sacré-Cœur Church on your right. Immediately after, you will arrive at Place d'Allier. Continue straight ahead.
(2) Turn slightly left to reach the large circular fountain. Continue straight ahead on Rue d'Allier (note the beautiful façade of the former Nouvelles Galeries) and you will soon reach the crossroads with Rue Pasteur and Rue d'Henghien (Maison Velard on the right and Rue d'Henghien on the left).

(4) After your visit, head towards the children's playground on Place du Colonel Laussedat, then turn right towards the entrance to Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Cathedral (note, on the other side, "la Malcoiffée", the remaining tower of the Château des Ducs de Bourbon, and the former prison). Leaving the cathedral, turn left and then immediately left again onto Rue Louis Mantin. Then turn right onto Rue Grenier (beautiful old houses), then continue onto Rue des Orfèvres (old houses). At the intersection with Rue de l'Ancien Palais (beautiful old house), turn left onto Rue de l'Horloge, which leads to Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, at the corner of the "le Jacquemart" tower.

At the end of the street, turn right onto Rue Voltaire, which will immediately take you to Rue d'Allier, opposite the Musée de la Visitation, the former Hôtel Demoret with its beautiful façade. Turn right and follow this street, which quickly becomes pedestrianised, continuing straight ahead (shopping street with some beautiful façades) until you reach the crossroads with Rue Pasteur and Rue d'Henghien, which you passed on the way there.

Follow it to the left, into the green space, to reach the roundabout and go around it on the left.
