(S/E)Starting at the Red Lion Public House, follow the main country road Northerly direction. After 50m, passing the village memorial cross, bearing right leaving the main road along Carlindnack Road. Continue in a North-East direction for 550 m or so.
(1) Turn right (South-East) and down to the end of Carlidnack Lane, where a designated route is marked. Be mindful that several properties adjacent, with access gates open, could be mistaken for the route. Walking down the designated path and through the woodland, at the bottom there will be a stream to cross using stepping stones.
(2) After the stream follow the path left and North and East direction for almost 1 Km to the end of the woods which opens up to the sea (Maenporth). At this point, there are public toilets at the North end of the beach near the cafe.
(3) Turning right and pick up the designated South West Coast Path (SWCP) on your left. It will bear South you follow for 1.2 Km.
(4) At Bream Cove, you reach the rear entrance to the hotel and "private beach", with has a seasonal snack shack. Continue on the SWCP leaving the Cove through a hedge and turn right and West.
Note: if you turn too soon a path prior to the hedge will lead to an old "folly" sun house, return to the hedge and pick up the trail. Walking past National Trust marker "Treworgan", follow the path up hill for 750m.
(5) Meeting a country lane (Maenporth Road) turn left (South-West) following the lane as it bears right along Carwinion Road, back through the village to the start (around 750 m). (S/E)
