(S) Park in Malbrans in the centre of the village, near the Church of Saint-Marcellin. No signposts.
When facing the church, turn left and immediately turn right up Rue du Lavoir, then left into Rue de la Fontaine, passing in front of the calvary. At the next fork, turn right towards Montrond.
(1) Immediately after the cemetery, follow the small tarmac road that climbs to the right, running alongside the wall. At the edge of the village, there is a beautiful view of Mont Poupet in the gap between the mountains. The road becomes stony and then grassy before entering the woods. Continue along this beautiful, well-marked forest path.
(2) When the woods thin out and the path turns left, take the pretty path on the right at the foot of a beautiful tree, which will take you straight through the woods. When you see a clearing and a fork in the path, take the left-hand path down to the small tarmac road below.
(3) Walk up the road to the right for 200 metres. At the entrance to the woods, on the right, you will see beautiful rocks surrounding the remains of sinkholes characteristic of our Jurassic soil. Shortly afterwards, climb up to the right along the beautiful path that will take you back to Malbrans. You will arrive in view of meadows and, unfortunately, a telecommunications pylon. The path becomes stony.
(4) When it turns to tarmac at the foot of the pylon, climb up to the right towards the Virgin Mary statue, passing the wooden barrier to reach the magnificent 360° panorama: to the south over the Loue Valley and to the north over the hills of Fontain and Montfaucon.
Pass the pylon again and descend to the right towards the village and the church.
a stroll to aid digestion! Parish specific to Brittany! Very good!
