A round trip walk on the Isle of Arran, taking you across private farmland to the stone circles of Machrie Moor, a group of six stone circles dating from around 3,500 BC. The moorland is dotted with other prehistoric remains including more standing stones, burial cairns, hut circles and cists. The walk follows a farm track and grassy paths across the moorland, which can become muddy. There are no steps on the route, but you will need to pass through several gates. The gradients are relatively gentle. Approximate duration 1 hour.
