Between Oize and Sandron, the Moulin des Prés from Saint-Julien-du-Serre
This is a short, easy hike with a wide variety of landscapes: meadows at the bottom of the Oize valley, more austere wooded slopes of the Sandron valley, pine forests and sandstone rocks towards Champestève or Fromenteyrol.
The Roc de Gourdon
A beautiful hike in a very wild setting. The Roc de Gourdon, with its ship’s prow-like silhouette—a remnant of intense volcanic activity—is a superb promontory offering a 360° panorama of the Boutières, the Cévennes and the Bas-Vivarais.Moderator’s note added on 09/06/2021: The Roc de Gourdon is no longer accessible (electrified fence)
See listingno. 427882: Saint-Étienne-de-Boulogne – Gourdon circular route – identical route (between points 6-7 for both hikes) but with access to the Roc de Gourdon!
