Description of the walk

Start: Underskiddaw car park, Keswick, (CA12 4PH), Free. Grid ref. NY 280 254

(S/E) From the car park, turn left (North-East) to take the Cumbria Way. Continue straight on the Cumbria Way (ignoring side paths) to cross Whit Beck. Keep walking on the Cumbria Way that follows Lonscale Pike by the bottom until reaching an intersection of paths after 4 Km or so.

(1) Turn left before the wall and gate to go up Burnt Morse. This section is very steep and close to the edge. At the top of the hill turn left to reach Lonscale Pike summit.

(2) From Lonscale Pike turn right to walk towards Lonscale Fell (West). Keep straight after Lonscale Fell until reaching Whit Beck.

(3) Cross Whit Beck to walk down the large path (South) until reaching again the Cumbria Way. Then keep walking down to reach the car park (S/E).
