Description of the walk

Start: Underskiddaw parking, Keswick, (CA12 4PH). Grid ref. NY 280 253

(S/E) Take the path (West) opposite the car park (looking towards Keswick). Continue for around 400m along the Cumbria Way before turning left on the path going to Mallen Dodd and Latrigg summit. At the intersection with several paths take the left path to reach Latrigg summit. Then keep going straight to go down the fell until reaching an intersection of paths before a road.

(1) Take sharp right (do not go to the road) and continue West-South-West on the path above the forest and then enter the forest. Continue straight on this forest path crossing Rams Beck, then straight until seeing a path on the right (second path from Rams Beck). (There are several small paths in the forest, you can take any path as long as you keep going straight (West)).

(2) Turn right to walk towards Whinny Brow. Continue going up to join the Cumbria Way again. Keep going up on the Cumbria Way until reaching the car park. (S/E)
