Les Quatre Vents - Olliergues

(S) From the Lodge des Quatre Vents, head south-east, take the second path on the left leading to Champblanc. Cross the hamlet, reach the Ruisseau d’Espinasse, cross it and continue south to reach the Route de la Souche.

(1) Turn left towards Tournebize, continue straight on through the hamlet and stay on this road until you reach the D45. Follow this road to the right, ignore a road on the left, then turn left at a small car park to reach the right bank of Lake Aubusson.

(2) Cross the dam, walk about 50 metres to the left, then take the path that climbs to the right and joins the access road to Commiot at a hairpin bend.

(3) Turn right, cross the hamlet, then continue straight on at the next crossroads to come out onto a road near a small pond.

(4) Follow this road to the left, pass La Coudercie and leave the access road to La Bruguière on your left. At the next junction, turn right to reach Augerolles.

(5) In front of the church, turn left and join the D45. Cross at the pedestrian crossing, follow this road straight on at the junction and continue to the sawmill.

(6) At the sawmill, take the wide path on the left towards Clos Granet. After 100m, take a grassy track on the right which descends and joins the D45; follow this to the left for 200m to the Moulin du Clos.

(7) Cross the bridge and turn left immediately afterwards towards Malaleuge. 250m before the hamlet, take the path on the right which climbs into the forest and continue straight on until you reach the D313.

(8) Follow the road to the right to reach Olmet. Pass the cemetery, the town hall and then the church to arrive at a small square.

(9) Turn right onto the street, then take a path slightly to the left that continues in the same direction, running parallel to the D45, leading to the Croix de Chamaly.

(10) Turn right onto the D37 and, 200m further on, turn right again onto the small road leading to Bonnefond.
Turn left at a place called La Saune, then right to reach Champ Haut.

(11) Continue towards Champ Bas, turn right then left again.

(12) Turn left and follow the road for 1 km. At the next junction, at the edge of the woods, turn right then left to reach a T-junction.

(13) Turn right. At the 583m mark, take the shortcut on the right, then turn right again towards Olliergues secondary school.

(14) At Rue du Platel on your left, turn right onto a path that joins the Route d’Augerolles. Turn left to go round the school.

(15) At a small car park, take the stairs on the right, cross Route du Brugeron at the pedestrian crossing and continue down Rue des Corps to reach the square in front of Olliergues Town Hall (E).
