To get to Talley and the starting point of the hike:
At "Trézioux", head towards "Courpière".
Leave "Trézioux" and after about 500 metres, turn left towards "Talley".
Continue along this small road for another 500 metres until you reach a crossroads.
The path (starting point) is on your left at this crossroads.
(1) Start at the place called "Talley", on the path at the entrance to the village that descends to your left (north-west). Follow this path to the bottom.
(2) Take the small climb in front of you and, at the next crossroads, turn left.
Continue along the road until you reach the farm called "La Tuilerie". The road then becomes paved; continue until you reach the crossroads.
(3) At the crossroads, watch out for cars! Take the road in front of you until the next crossroads on your left, with a view of Mauzun Castle.
At the crossroads (elevation 475), turn right (do not follow the yellow and green signs).
Continue north until the next crossroads.
(4) At the crossroads, turn right to join the D 152 road. Continue right on the road until you reach a place called "Le Bouys". Drive through the hamlet and continue to the crossroads.
(5) Watch out for cars! At the crossroads, take the second road on the right towards "Les Fargette" and immediately take the path on your left. Continue along the path.
There is a pond on your right. Continue straight ahead along the electricity pylons, then downhill with a sharp right turn (leave the path on your left in the bend), continue downhill. You will come to a crossroads.
(6) Turn left (be careful of muddy ground) onto a small stream. Immediately after, turn right: take a deep breath and get ready for a steep climb... Continue south until you reach the entrance to the hamlet of "Talley".
(7) On the paved section, just after the house on the right (cinder block wall), enjoy the view of the Chaîne des Puys.
Continue straight ahead on the road to cross Talley and return to your car.
