Park in the car park on the right, 200 metres after passing through the hamlet when coming up from Vaugneray.
(S/E) Return along the road towards the hamlet until you reach the sign at the exit in the left-hand bend (when coming from the car park, follow the yellow markings), follow the small road south-west and continue along the path on the left after the Lodge des Roches.
(1) At the fork, leave the left-hand path and go up to the right towards Yzeron. Follow the beautiful Cascade path towards the south-west. You will reach a small road which you follow straight ahead towards the south.
(2) At the fork, turn right and head back up towards the village of Yzeron. At the entrance to the village, ignore the yellow sign on the left and continue along the road. In the village, take Chemin du Chatel on the right to join the road along the river. Follow the road downhill on the right for about 400 metres.
(3) Go up the very steep Chemin des Esselards on the left. At the fork, follow the road on the right, which quickly turns into a good path that will take you through the forest to the Goutte Chérine lodge. Leave the access to the lodge and go around it to the north, following the path that continues along the hillside.
(4) At a beautiful mound of stones, climb up the stony path on the left (yellow cross on a tree) at the crossroads. The path eventually leaves the forest. Follow it as it heads north towards the Aduts farm.
(5) After reaching the road, take the first path on the left between the fields. You will join theGR® "Tour des Monts du Lyonnais" trail, which you will follow downhill to the right. Ignore the paths branching off to the right and left and continue heading north-west.
(6) Leave theGR® trail that branches off to the left and continue straight ahead.
(7) Take the path on the right that climbs up and ends at a small road. Take this road on the left and descend to the hamlet of Soupat.
(8) In the hamlet, turn right onto a slightly downhill path that heads north across fields.
(9) Take the hairpin bend on the right, which leads pleasantly along the hillside to the crossroads at an altitude of 674 metres.
(10) Turn right, heading east, then at the fork in the road just after, continue straight ahead. The path is very rough for about 200 metres due to vehicle traffic, before re-entering the forest.
(11) At the fork, leave the Yzeron trail and descend to the left along the stony path that takes you back to the car (S/E).
