A lovely walk along the river. We did the 7-kilometre route starting from Falmignoul. We took a detour through the woods, following the path rather than heading straight for the Meuse. This brought the total distance to 10 kilometres, but it meant we were able to enjoy some superb views. So I’d definitely recommend it. This walk along the river was ideal in the day’s very hot weather. We had a picnic on a table opposite the castle by the river and were lucky enough to see the ferryman at work. A really lovely time, then. There were very few walkers, so it was absolutely peaceful.
