Parking at Les Praz, at the signpost (circuits no. 3 and 5), opposite the wooden sign "Grange Neuve". Yellow diamond-shaped markings with a red line on a white background.
(S/E) Head towards Les Naz, Mont de Baulmes (on your right when facing the cliffs). Continue straight ahead at the next fork. Then take the gravel road on the left towards Les Crébillons. Just before the chalet, at the signs, turn right into the field, passing below the building. Turn left onto the beautiful gravel road until you reach the Les Naz chalet, a fork in the hiking trails.
(1) Head back into the pastures on the right through the turnstile, just before the building. Head towards the second telephone pole and descend to the left into the gentians. Follow the posts. You will come to three large trees. An arrow painted on the middle one indicates that you should turn slightly left to pass in front of a grove of spruce trees. You will pass trees marked as "remarkable" and come to two roads below via two turnstiles.
(2) Take the gravel road climbing up to the left towards the Monts de Baulmes. Stay on this farm track for a while, leaving a hiking trail that descends to Baulmes on your right.
(3) When you reach a small paved road, climb up the path on the left. Soon, at a signpost, the path splits. Climb left (red markings) along the pretty path that climbs up the wooded hillside at the foot of the cliffs.
(4) You will arrive at some pastures and follow the ridge line to the left, keeping to the ledges until you reach the cross at the summit (1,559 metres), heading towards the Aiguilles de Baulmes. When you come to them, don't hesitate to carefully follow the paths that branch off to the left towards beautiful , unsecured viewpoints over the valley, Lake Neuchâtel, the Alps and the Knoll.
(5) When you come to a small, clean gravel path leading from the Monts de Baulmes restaurant, turn left towards the Puits de Jacob viewpoint (bench and orientation table). Along the way: the Cave Noire cave and a viewpoint (bench).
(6) Shortly after the viewpoint, at a gate in the fence, there is a fork in the trail. Keep following the ledges along the path on the left. Then, at a signpost with numerous signs, keep left along the cliffs towards the "Sommet".
(7) You will arrive at the viewpoint with the cross, overlooking the plain, Lake Geneva, the Knoll opposite and, on the right, the Dent de Vaulion. Then descend, turning your back to the valley, towards the Col de l'Aiguillon.
(8) Turn left onto the gravel road, then left again onto the small paved road that passes between anti-tank defences (towards La Grange Neuve). Look for the blockhouses hidden in the foliage on the right. You will come to another road at the foot of the Aiguillon and its jagged rocks. Continue left to Les Praz and the car park (S/E).
The route includes ledges and unsecured viewpoints. The paths are rocky and slippery in places. Good footwear is essential and walking sticks are recommended.
