The starting point for the hike is in Saint-Lunaire, on the D786 road linking Dinard to the centre of Saint-Lunaire, at the bottom of the long descent from Dinard. At the estuary (on the right), use the car park (on the left, near the playground). The description assumes a departure at ebb tide or low tide.
(S/E) From the playground car park, head north towards the Crévelin river estuary. Cross the D786 carefully and walk along the left side of the riverbed, following the low wall of the properties. You will soon reach the sandy area that leads to the sea. Continue along the sand towards the bottom of the estuary. After 500 m, pass the sailing school on your left and you will see the Grande Plage.
Once on the beach, head north-east along the sand towards a jetty that can be seen at the foot of Pointe du Décollé. Reach the rock falls to the west and follow them northwards to arrive at the foot of the jetty. (If this is not possible due to rising water levels, find the public stairs on the cliff that lead back up to the cliff-top road.)
Take the small staircase at the end of the pier and then walk up the pier. Further up, you will reach the path that leads to the right towards Pointe du Décollé. Turn right, leave the restaurant on your right and continue to the end of the path to reach an orientation table. Enjoy the site and the benches for a picnic with a magnificent view.
(1) From the end of the point, retrace your steps southwards. Leave the houses on your left and continue along Boulevard de la Mer. After 300 m, after the second villa on the right, take the path on the right towards "Rocher Napoléon".
Enjoy the view and return to Boulevard de la Mer to continue down Boulevard des Rochers until you reach the junction with Boulevard des Falaises on the left.
(2) Then take a path on the right that descends towards Longchamp Beach. Walk along the fences and arrive at the beach.
Once on the sand, if the tide allows, head straight towards the western end, at the foot of the villas. (At high tide, follow the footpath at the top of the beach).
At the western end of the beach, climb the stairs to the wide footpath.
(3) Continue until you reach the D786, which runs alongside this beach. Cross this road carefully and take a first turn right then left for 20 metres, then take Rue de Ker Gai, which heads south. Follow it for 300 metres, using the protected footpath on your right. Enter the commune of Saint-Briac-sur-Mer.
After 300 metres, at the end of the pedestrian path, continue along the path that branches off to the right towards La Fosse. At the hamlet, turn right onto the tarmac road for about 50 metres.
(4) At no. 24, take the gravel path on the left (yellow markings). Head south towards Ville Carrée. At the first tarmac road junction, continue straight ahead. At the second junction (stop sign), take Rue de La Negrais (signposted).
(5) Turn left. Observe the traditional houses.
After 100 m, at No. 12, turn right, then take the first left. Continue to Ville aux Trigots on the right towards "Les Belles Noës".
After another 100 metres, you will see a beautiful garden on the left with a sign for "Les belles Noës" No. 30. Immediately after this garden, a path branches off to the left.
(6) Take it on the left after the garden that leads east (beware of wet ground in winter). Further on, it crosses a stream. At this three-way junction in the path, keep left towards "Saint Lunaire Campagne" (ignore Pont du Frémur). Further on, after a row of giant cypress trees on the right, the path joins the tarmac road. Take it to the right for 200 m. Pass Tertre du Lot on the right and find another path starting on the left (signposted: route du Papillon).
(7) Take this path on the left, which continues eastwards. After 400 metres, continue straight ahead on a tarmac road signposted Rue de la Ville Billy. The road joins the Crémelin river valley, which it crosses before climbing back up. 100 metres after the river, a path branches off to the left into the grass with a sign for Verger Conservatoire.
(8) Take this path to the left towards the north. The path quickly joins the Crémelin, which it follows under the oak trees. It crosses the Verger Conservatoire and arrives at La Vallée de l'Amitié. Cross the river and pass a beautiful restored wash house on the right.
Continue along the river to return to the starting point (S/E).
