Park along Avenue de l'Église in Berlou.
(S/E) Take the D177 towards Olargues, following the blue signs. Turn right onto Rue de l'Égalité and go around the cemetery until you reach the junction with the tarmac road. Turn left and go up towards the pine forest.
Note: turning right here will take you directly back to Berlou.
Turn right and cross the pine forest to reach the Col de la Foun.
(1) Continue along the track opposite and walk along the pine forest to the highest point, then along the vineyards to reach a slight descent at the crossroads of a track.
(2) Take the track on the left and continue towards the wind turbine and the Donnadieu barn. Follow the track to the tarmac road.
Note: turning right here will take you directly back to Berlou.
At the junction of the two tarmac roads, turn right and cross the Calisso bridge, then turn right again to reach the Mouline bridge and the Rieu Berlou waterfall.
(3) Continue straight ahead, then turn right and follow the tarmac or cement track to a stone hut on the left.
(4) Note: continuing straight ahead will take you directly back to Berlou.
Take the track on the left to the Col de Périnières. Turn right onto the hairpin bend and follow the track to the orientation tables.
(5) Descend and rejoin the D177.
Note: you can return directly to Berlou by turning right and following the D177.
Otherwise, take it to the left for a few metres, then turn right and cross the Cambis pine trees to the Sareclou path. You will reach a crossroads offering a view of the village and the Caroux massif.
(6) Note: you can return directly to Berlou by turning right onto the track that avoids the most difficult part of the climb and descent of Roc de la Viste.
Turn left and follow the uphill track until you reach the wider Montahuc track.
Turn left onto the Montahuc track, then turn right onto a path that climbs through the woods to Roc de la Viste, the highest point of the hike with a view of the village.
(7) Begin a tricky descent along the small path to the Montahuc track. Be careful, as it can be slippery in wet weather. When you reach the track at a large bend, turn left. Follow the path to the tennis court, walk alongside it, then descend towards the hamlet of Labadié.
(8) Cross the bridge and immediately afterwards, turn right at the hairpin bend towards the stream. Go around the building on the left and turn right, then left and follow the stream. Turn left, then right to reach Rue Basse and continue towards Place du Pont. Then, go straight on the D177 towards Olargues, pass in front of the town hall and the school, then return to the car park at the church in Berlou (S/E).
