The starting point is in the village of Roquebrun, after the bridge on the right coming from Vieussan and heading towards Béziers (D14).
There are a few parking spaces available in the village, after the bridge, continuing straight ahead along the river. There is also a large car park available by turning left after the bridge towards the beach. Please note that this car park appears to be pay-and-display in summer.
(S/E) From the car park, walk up to the riverbank, cross the main road and turn right to find the start of a small tarmac road, just before the bridge (canoe sign).
Follow this small road, which runs alongside the river, until you see a tall marker and a fork in the road on the left. This part of the route is flat.
(1) At the marker, take the fork on the left and follow the main path. When you leave the forest, turn right, then left onto the path that winds its way up between the vineyards, arriving at an intersection near a ruined hut.
(2) Head towards "Route le l'Arboussié" to the right of the hut and continue along the main path uphill until you reach a plateau with a round, covered well visible in a vineyard and a marker indicating 225m. Ignore the paths to the left and right (stay on the blue trail).
(3) With the marker opposite, turn left to go around the vineyard, then right down a slope (dead end indicated opposite). Follow the path downhill until it reaches a small tarmac road.
(4) Make a sharp left turn onto this small road. A little further on, pass a farm with blue shutters visible below. You will come to a crossroads with a small stone marker bearing the blue sign.
(5) Leave the small road and take the dirt track on the left which climbs up to a plateau. At a left-hand bend (there are some huts, one with a tiled roof, on your right).
(6) Continue along the main path, ignoring the path on the right. You will reach the D14 departmental road.
(7) Cross carefully and take the dirt track opposite. This section is flat until you reach the starting point.
After a long left-hand bend, you will see an old tomb on the left at the top of a small hill next to a house.
(8) A small grassy path on the left just before the house allows you to access it if you want to see it more closely (view of the village of Roquebrun).
The return to the car park under the Roquebrun bridge is along the river (the Orb), with the village of Roquebrun visible opposite. The wide path heads north and runs alongside the river for about 900 m before turning away to the left.
(9) Leave the path and continue straight ahead along a small grassy path alongside the reeds, which leads back to the car park (pebble beach) (S/E).
