The Templars’ Well

The route starts at Avroult Church: 10, Rue du Bois. Behind the church, there is a car park next to the cemetery.

(S/E) From the starting sign, turn right and then immediately left. At the junction, carry on straight ahead to Les Ayots.

(1) Turn right. At the junction, turn left. At the crossroads, go straight on then turn left. At the junction, continue straight on until you reach the next road at a place called Le Chartiau.

(2) Turn left. At the crossroads, turn right to reach the departmental road.

(3) Cross it, making a slight first turn left then right to join the dirt track. At the end, turn left to reach number 37 Rue d’Ouve.

(4) Carry on straight ahead. Before the bend to the left, turn right onto the dirt track. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the farm buildings on the right. After these buildings and in front of the chapel, turn left. Cross the main road at the pedestrian crossing, then turn left to reach the bus stop. Before the bus stop, turn right and then right again. At the junction, keep to the right again to reach the junction with 5 Rue d’Amont.

(5) Turn left. When you reach the main road, turn left straight away and you’ll come to another junction.

(6) Turn left twice, then turn right. Stay on the grassy path as you pass farm buildings on your left and right. At the junction, turn left to return to the church (S/E).
