Park in the Thiéry car park near the village inn.
(S/E) Head towards the Saint-Roch chapel, located at the far end of the car park, heading east, until you reach marker 86. Take the path on the right, descending towards Lieuche, until you reach marker 87.
(1) Continue down towards Lieuche along the path that passes beneath the ruins of barns and continues towards the valley. Carry on to the crossroads marked by a cairn.
(2) Turn left and follow the wooded path downhill to the Ruisseau de Thiery.
(3) Important information here: the map does not match the terrain; there are not one, but two old bridges.
Cross the narrow bridge with a handrail that spans the Ruisseau de Thiery, then follow the path for about a hundred metres. Turn left at the next crossroads, marked by a cairn. The Roman bridge is on the right, below this crossroads. Follow the unmarked, wooded path to the left, which runs alongside the Ruisseau de l’Arsilane below, before it climbs steeply to reach a flat, wooded summit, where there are two mounds of marl, each 1 metre high.
(4) Turn left and follow the ridge. After about a hundred metres on level ground, you’ll come to a cairn. Turn right before the contour lines. If necessary, use the Visorando app for a few metres. Cross a small clearing, then a marked, unmarked but clearly visible path. Continue through the large clearing leading to the track. At this point, on the right, you’ll find the farm known as Durcia.
(5) Turn left and take the ascending track. The climb is steep. At the top, there is a junction of tracks. Turn left, towards Thiéry. Follow marker 88 and another marker 87, continuing towards the village. You will then return to the original junction.
(1) Follow marker 87, seen earlier. Continue straight on towards the nearby village of Thiéry. Enter the village via Voie Marcel Raspini and Rue La Carrière, then cross Place des Tubans. Pass under the arch; the road continues to climb in a sweeping arc, bringing you back to the starting point (S/E).
