(S/R) From the car park, cross the children’s playground and head towards Rue du Pont d’Emma. Follow it to the right until the end.

Turn left onto Rue du Maréchal Juin. At the end, the road curves to the right onto a concrete path with a few steps. You’ll emerge onto an esplanade (with the statue of the Virgin Mary on the right, up on the hill) at the Laroque-La Vierge signpost.
(1) Turn left onto Allée de l’Anglade and, at the next junction, continue left to walk alongside the cemetery. The road climbs and leads to the ‘Laroque-Cimetière’ signpost.
Red and white markings + yellow markings
Leave the tarmac and turn left onto the stony path which climbs between the low walls through the forest. You’ll reach the ‘Les Rouvières’ signpost.
(2) Turn left onto the path towards Les Travers. A little further on, ignore a path on the left (water trough for animals) and you will very soon reach the signpost.
Yellow markings
Carry on straight ahead towards ‘Sous le Rocher du Pin’. About 100 metres further on, join a path and follow it to the left into the Bois de Grand Serre. On a small flat section, the path turns right at a right angle then curves left, reaching the ‘Sous le Rocher du Pin’ marker 500 metres further on. Continue for 100 metres to reach the ‘Dolmen du Taurac’ marker (there are no signs to help you find the dolmen!).
(3) Turn right towards the Aven de l’Eure, pass a few sharp limestone pavements and, further on, join a path coming from the right. Continue left along the path through the holm oaks, staying on the same path throughout. Reach the ‘Aven de l’Eure’ marker.
(4) Turn right towards La Vire – Grotte des Demoiselles. Shortly afterwards, views of the valley open up. Reach the signpost for La Vire.
(5) Turn right towards La Cigale and, a little further up on the right, you’ll see a wire fence protecting the Aven du Taurac. Continue for a few metres until you reach a small clearing. Head left until you reach the ‘La Cigale’ signpost.

(6) Turn right towards the Plan des Abeillères; 10 metres further on, to the left, there are superb views over the Hérault (caution: unprotected cliffs). Continue along the path, occasionally passing a karstic cave; paths are marked on the map but are barely visible or not visible at all. Make your way to the Plan des Abeillères marker.
(7) Carry straight on along the path towards Le Fer à Cheval. After a sharp bend to the left, reach the signpost.
Yellow markings
(8) Turn left onto the path towards Chemin de l’Aven Pérasse. Here again, two larger (secured) karstic caves will be visible. After the last one, reach the ‘Chemin de l’Aven de Pérasse’ marker.
(9) Turn left towards Laroque and you’ll come to a junction. Continue along a path on the left, passing a track further to the left and the tarmac road on the right. After passing the water reservoir, the path emerges above the first houses and joins the D986.
(10) Follow it to the right for about 100 metres (be careful: there is no pavement, just a narrow verge).
Pass Rue du Chemin Neuf on your right and continue for a few metres before turning right onto Rue Droite. Further up, join Rue de la Madeleine and follow it to the left. Pass two archways and arrive at Place de l’Église. Turn right then left to reach a car park at the rear of the building. At the end of the car park, on the right, a small passage leads back to the car park (S/E).
