Description of the walk

At L'Espérou, take the D548 towards Cascades d'Orgon but then leave this road and follow the D329, pass the Col de la Lusette and park in the first car park on the right-hand side of the road, next to a La Draille drovers' road signpost.

No visible markings

(S/E) Head towards the signpost and continue straight on towards Col de la Lusette. You will soon come to a second drovers' road signpost. Follow the path furthest to the right, marked in yellow (the markings disappear further on), towards Abri des Abeuradous. After about 500 m, pay attention: look for an unmarked path on the right with a sign saying "Not recommended for mountain bikes".

(1) Follow this path (occasionally marked with old yellow markings). You will come to a road. Follow it to the right for about 50 metres, then turn left onto a path, which is still not recommended for mountain bikes. When you reach a viewpoint, continue a little to the right until you reach the Pic de Barette marker.

(2) Make a round trip to the interpretation point for another viewpoint, then return to the signpost.

(2) Continue straight ahead towards Sous Chamson. Shortly afterwards, you will see a sign about mouflons on your left below. Continue along the path, which offers a beautiful panorama, and you will reach an intersection with a path marked by theGR®®62C, at the Sous Chamson signpost.

GR®® Red and White markings

(3) Turn right towards Monument André Chamson and reach this monument, which is the writer's tomb and the eponymous marker.

(4) Continue on theGR®® towards the drovers' road and you will soon reach the car park (S/E).
