Description of the walk

Park in the small car park in front of the cemetery: a few spaces available.

(S/E) Return to the road and take it on the left until you reach the crossroads. Turn left, then right about 20 metres further on onto Route des Puits.

(1) At the three-way junction, turn left, staying on Route des Puits, and join Route des Côtes (D210) at a hairpin bend.

(2) Continue for about ten metres on the right, then cross the road carefully to take the path that rejoins Route des Côtes further on. Follow this road to the right for about fifty metres, leave it by taking the path on the right, then rejoin it. Cross it to rejoin the path opposite, then turn right to return to the road, which you follow straight ahead until you reach the bend (hunters' car park).

(3) Take the path that goes straight ahead and you will come to a T-junction.

(4) Continue straight ahead until the next junction.

(5) Take the forest road on the right and continue along it until you reach another junction: signposted "la Taille".

(6) Turn left, then immediately right, and you will arrive at a crossroads.

(7) Keep to the right and continue to the junction of a path leading to the Pierre des Deux Évêques viewpoint. Turn right to get there: the view is not very clear.

(8) Turn back and rejoin the route on the right. Ignore several successive turnoffs on the left and continue to the junction at elevation 442.

(9) Turn left, pass the Croix de l'Hiver and continue along a meadow to reach the hunters' car park.

(10) Take the path on the right, go around Encrêtaz on the left and join the D210 at Crémon.

(11) Walk carefully along the road, keeping to the right, then turn right towards Montagnin, leaving the road at the cul-de-sac. Cross the hamlet, following the red and white markings of the GR®65.

(12) After the last house, take the path on the right, which crosses vineyards before joining Impasse des Celliers, where you turn left to immediately reach a crossroads.

(13) Cross the road carefully, take the path opposite, then continue straight ahead towards the hamlet of Vétrier. Cross it going straight ahead and continue on the Route de Patavine along a wooded area on your left.

(14) Leave the road and take the path on the left, following the GR® markings. This path runs along the top of the Rhône and rejoins the tarmac road at a hairpin bend where there is an oratory.

(15) Head left onto the road, continuing to follow the GR®65 until you reach the D210. Leave the GR® on your left, go straight ahead, cross the D210 carefullyand return to the three-way junction you passed at the start.

(1) Take the outward route to the left in the opposite direction to return to the cemetery car park (S/E).
