Parking is available opposite the La Sainte-Emilienne restaurant on the other side of the D80.
(S/E) From the car park, head south along the paved Avocettes road.
Opposite the D80, turn left onto a dirt track parallel to the road. At the next intersection, turn left away from the D80. Pass a sign saying "Vous êtes à 12 km des Sables d'Olonne" (You are 12 km from Les Sables d'Olonne).
Ignore the first path on the left (it is closed by a wooden barrier) and turn left onto the next one.
(1) This path is flanked on either side of its entrance by two wooden signs saying "La Vendée à vélo". From here, follow theGR®8(red and white markings).
(2) When you see two buildings side by side (the larger one with dilapidated windows has a tall chimney), turn left, leaving them on your right. At the next intersection, turn right, following the red and whiteGR®8markings.
(3) At the next crossroads (pile of old railway sleepers at the corner), turn left. Continue along the barely marked path.
(4) Cross the footbridge and continue straight ahead on the path. A little further on, turn left and pass in front of a bench (5).
(5) At the intersection, leave theGR®8dirt track (ignore the red and whiteGR® markings from this point onwards) and follow the orange-yellow gravel path to the left. Stay on this main path (the dirt tracks crossing it are private and access is prohibited) until you reach a bench.
(6) At this point, the path becomes a paved cycle path, which you should follow to return to the starting point (S/E).
