Park at the La Perle des Vosges hotel-restaurant (car park reserved for guests), 22 Route du Gaschney above Muhlbach-sur-Munster.
(S/E) Walk up Route du Gaschney for about thirty metres, then turn right onto the steep little road (Rue Respel) which leads to the hamlet of Respel.
(1) At the hairpin bend in the hamlet, continue straight on along the path. It crosses a wood, then crosses a stream behind a house, and leads to a small road: the Chemin du Mittelberg.
(2) Take this road to the left.
(3) At the next junction, turn right onto the Route du Sattel. Follow this road to the pass (738 m). It goes through a beautiful forest.
(4) At the pass, to head back down towards Muhlbach, go back about 50 metres and turn left onto the path marked with a Yellow Triangle.
(5) Leave this marked path after 300 metres and continue the descent along the forest track.
(6) At the junction, at an elevation of 600 metres, turn right onto the forest track, which climbs slightly, then crosses the forest along the hillside and circles a small valley to reach the hamlet of Glitzerstein, served by a small road.
(7) Follow the road and continue straight on (uphill). At the junction, return via the reverse route of the outward journey, turning left, to the restaurant La Perle des Vosges (S/E).
