Please note:this route is closed and inaccessible between point (6) and point ()7 until 31 December 2025 due to development work on the Boulevard Nature.
Park in the sports complex car park.
(S/E) From the sports complex car park, take the path on the left, which runs alongside the tennis courts, then go around the football pitch, keeping to the right. At the end of the path, turn left onto the Chemin de la Pointe, which will take you to the Route de la Vove.
Turn right onto Route de la Vove and, a few dozen metres further on, turn right onto Chemin de la Hallonnière, which will take you back to the entrance to the village of Rouillon.
Turn left onto the path running parallel to the road, which descends to Boulevard Nature at a place called "Jublanc".
(2) Turn left onto Boulevard Nature, which runs alongside the ponds to Route de la Vove.
Turn right and follow this road for about 500 metres.
(3) Take the path on your right and go down into the meadow. At the crossroads at the edge of the woods, turn right to enter and walk around. Follow the deep ditch and go up to the left until you reach a fork.
(4) Take the path on the right after passing the Carmelite nuns' penitential house on your left. Shortly before reaching the Épine farm, turn left. After crossing the driveway leading to the farm, go behind the artificial hill covered with trees to go around the buildings and continue along Chemin de l'Épine, which will take you to Route des Ardriers.
(5) Cross the road with great caution (busy road with poor visibility). Take the path opposite for 300 metres. Turn left. At a place called Le Clos Marteau, turn left then right. Continue along Chemin des Petites Rigaudières (viewpoint over the rolling countryside). After the houses, continue straight on Chemin de la Chouanas and turn right at the end of the road. Note the view over the city of Le Mans.
(6) After 250 metres, turn right onto Chemin des Gouachères. At Les Vignes, enter the field on the right, pass the chicane and go down the sunken path. At the bottom, turn right.
(7) Go through the two chicanes and follow the private path along the edge of the fields (view of the Chaumard valley). The path winds halfway up the hillside and then descends towards a stream. Cross it on the footbridge and turn right to rejoin the road.
(8) Turn right and follow this road for 300 metres. Leave Chemin des Furêteries on your right and immediately turn right onto Route de Loulay for about 150 metres. On your left, you will see Rouillon Castle.
(9) Climb the steps on the left and take the private path at the edge of the woods, which leads to the Vaugeonnières farm.
Pass the hemp kiln on your left and continue to the road.
At the roundabout, keep left and take the pavement to the next roundabout.
Cross the road at the children's playground and take Rue des Charmes. Pass the tennis court and then the gymnasium.
(E) You will arrive directly at your car park on the right.
